I suck through a straw!!! We've been working on this for a few weeks now. Tonight I got the bright idea to put a nipple over the straw so that he gets the idea that he is supposed to suck... so, put the nipple on - let him feel it in his mouth. Then, take the nipple off and give him back the straw - and voila! He sucks!
Now he just wants to drink a ton of water - we had to put the cup away.
