Liam is two months old (well, yesterday was 8 weeks, but Saturday is technically the 11th, so I am just really confused now and I am not sure which to go by)!
Liam wears his 3 -6 months clothes now... and weighs a whopping 12.5 pounds - now that's according to our home scale with me standing on it with him, since he doesn't go to the doc until next week, that's all we have to go by for now! Speaking of scales, I am about 11 pounds from my prepregnancy weight! It seems to be a slow go but when you're talking 40 pounds of gained weight I guess 11 isn't too bad!
Okay, back to Liam! He smiles more often now and it's definitely social - as you can see in his photos! He also coos and goos...we really enjoy cooing at him and waiting for him to respond.
He still doesn't sleep a lot! The most we've ever gotten is 3 hours! What are we doing wrong!? :) Our friends Katie and Scott just welcomed an adorable little boy Charlie to their home and he sleeps in 4 hours increments - lucky dogs! Liam is a good boy though, most nights he wakes, eats, and goes back to sleep... so that's not so bad, it's just a 1/2 hour or more of sleep we miss out on each time!
Liam loves to stick out his tongue and do funny things with it... he also loves to kick his feet and thrash around with his arms! He's definitely an active baby!
Liam holds his head up independently for extended periods of time, even on his tummy! He's a strong little guy - think he's going to play football!
Liam's done a lot of things in his short life - including many trips to the mall (all of them in the metro area - minus Lafayette Scare!!), the Carmel Library, Hooters (yes, and he was only a week old!!!), El Torito grill (where he slept for the entire time), Wal-mart, Target, Ted's Montana Grill, Chik-fil-a, church many times, and of course all the baby stores in the area!
Liam loves walks or runs in the jogger and riding in the car! One thing is for sure - he loves to be moving - all the time!!! Again - can you say active baby?
Will and I feel like we know SO MUCH more now than we did just 2 months ago! It's amazing how much there is to know and learn - and how much more there is to go!

I can't believe how big he is already!! He's such a doll! About the sleeping, we follow the "Baby Wise" method and have from pretty early on. That seems to have worked for Sophie's sleeping patterns. She was 10 weeks and sleeping through the night for 10-11 hour stretches. We still follow the same pattern! If you haven't already, get that book and try it out! It worked for us! Keep the pictures coming!!
i am right there with you and totally confused when do you say two months? do you have to wait until the 11th or go by the weeks. you know, i really never got that figured out with my pregnancy either....i never knew when i was another month along, so i always said weeks!
We sound like we have the same baby! I still have 12 lbs to lose so don't feel bad. I gained 40 too!
