Tradition

Our family tradition is to put our tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving.  It just takes so long to take each one of my 200+ Hallmark ornaments out of their box (yes, most all have their boxes, even those I got when I was a kid) and hang them on the tree - I want to enjoy them for a little more than a month!

After we put the tree up (while watching, "Christmas Vacation" and "Home Alone"), we go to Hallmark and pick out an ornament for this year.  Liam picked out E.T. - which was so fitting, because that was his favorite movie this summer!
One day, Liam was walking around the bedroom bumping into walls.  I ask him what he was doing, and he tells me, "I drank too much beer, like E.T."
